Four Employees Recognized for 25 Years of Service

The Camden Central School District is proud to recognize four of its employees for achieving 25 years of dedicated service to the District. The milestone was celebrated in front of colleagues from across the District during the annual Opening Day staff assembly held on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026. 

To mark a quarter century of service, employees Lorie Lescenski, Susan Seaton, Jennifer Driscoll, and Jeffrey Klatt were each presented with a 1-of-1 commemorative logo plaque created by local designer Danielle Danaher, following a brief speech from one of their supervising administrators.

Lorie Lescenski - Office Specialist II, Camden Middle School
Between McConnellsville Elementary, the CCSD Special Education Office, and her current home in the CMS Main Office, Lorie has become widely known for her attention to detail in her duties, the many ways she goes above and beyond to make sure her colleagues and students feel valued, and her resilience through any challenge thrown her way. As CMS Principal Brittany DerCola described it, Lorie’s definition of family has never been limited by actual family trees, and it shows in the care she displays for everyone around her. 

“If you know Lorie, you know that 25 years with her isn't just 25 years of doing a job,” DerCola said. “It is 25 years of relationships, celebrations, perfectly organized paperwork, beautifully decorated spaces, remembered birthdays, and a whole lot of love.”

Sue Seaton - Food Service Helper, Camden Middle School
Sue began her career at Camden on September 4th, 2001 at the High School. She transferred to the Middle School in 2007 and has been a valued part of the CMS Family ever since. It is estimated that in 25 years of service, Sue has been part of serving over 9,000 meals. 

“If there is one word that comes up again and again when people talk about Sue, it’s reliable,” Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations Karen Jones said, “Her evaluations over the years describe her as dependable, always on time, willing to come in early, and someone who could do just about any job - and she would get it done.”

Jennifer Driscoll - Special Education, Camden Middle School 
Although she has been an employee for 25 years, Jennifer’s time as a Blue Devil stretches back to the very beginning. She grew up in Blossvale, graduated from CHS, and went on to attend SUNY Oneonta, where it became clear where she wanted to be - giving back to the community that raised her. Her first experiences as an employee were in long-term sub positions at the high school and middle school. Her persistence paid off with a permanent position co-teaching science at the high school. She later transferred to the middle school where she remains today. While she works in her home district, Driscoll is quite an accomplished traveller who has been to all 50 states and beyond. 

“Jennifer is one of those colleagues you can count on,” Principal Brittany DerCola said. “She will mentor, listen, workshop an idea, problem-solve an issue, or help you figure out what to do next. And, if you’re lucky, there may even be a little chocolate involved. She is professional and flexible, but more importantly, she is genuinely kind-hearted and cares deeply about the people around her.”

Jeffrey Klatt - Physical Education, Camden Middle School
Jeff graduated from SUNY Cortland, and got started in the district in 2001 at Camden Elementary School working alongside Hal Moore. At the time of his hiring, he touted his “versatile experience” as a strength. If you know anything about Jeff, you know that is correct. He has coached a wide range of sports at Camden, is a very accomplished home cook, referees adult kickball games, holds a fascinating level of knowledge about 1990s hip-hop music, and finds plenty of time to be a family man along the way. 

“For 25 years, Camden has been lucky to have someone who shows up for our kids,” Principal Brittany DerCola said. “Whether we need someone to coach a team, connect with a kid, organize Bonus Day events, man the walkie-talkies at a school event, share a recipe, talk Bills football, or provide expertise on '90s hip-hop, we know we can count on Jeff.”
