Boys' Soccer Salutes Teachers With Recognition Night
Ahead of their 5-0 win over Holland Patent, the Camden High School boys’ varsity soccer team shared the limelight with some very special guests on Wednesday, September 30th. 22 Camden Central School District teachers were recognized for their impact on each student-athlete as the program held a special Teacher Recognition Night at the Camden High School Stadium.
Each of the team’s members was tasked with selecting the teacher who has had the greatest impact on them. All four Camden CSD school buildings were represented in the ceremony, with some players going as far back as the beginning of their time in the District to select a recipient. One student even chose a 2026 retiree, Mr. Scott Zahas. Each student-athlete was also charged with explaining why they chose their honoree, which was read by public address announcer Kenny Morrison as each player, and their designated teacher, took the field together.
