On Saturday, February 8th, the Camden Boys’ Varsity Wrestling Team started postseason competition in the Section III Class B tournament hosted by Mexico Academy. The Blue Devils placed seventh in the team standings with 99.5 points.
The Blue Devils secured seven total podium finishes during the competition, including four fourth place finishes out of the consolation finals from Talon Kimball (131), Joseph Golombek (138), Jackson Wolford (160), and Richard Angell (215).
Camden received a pair of fifth place finishes. One came from Mason Butler (124), and a second came from Bradyn Hatzinger (116).
Rounding out Camden’s podium performers was Hunter Waterman (285), who placed sixth in his bracket.
The Blue Devils will now set their sights on the Section III Division II Championship meet, which also functions as the State Qualifier. That will be held on Saturday, February 15th at SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College.
