Early registration is now open for the Camden Central School District’s pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs for the 2025-2026 school year.
There are no currently scheduled dates for in-person registration. To secure your child’s place in either program, please fill out the appropriate registration packet listed below and return to the Camden Central School District office. The office is located at 51 Third Street, Camden, NY 13316.
The early registration window runs from now until April 1st, 2025. While we are able to accept registrations following that date, registering early is encouraged for best results, especially in Pre-K where opportunities are limited.
The registration packets are available to view and print online at the links located below.
In the event you are unable to print a packet or prefer the convenience of a pre-printed packet, they can be picked up at any building, or mailed to you by the District upon request.
For Pre-K, packets will also be made available at our "Look at Me, I'm Three!" program for your convenience. If you have a child in school with us already, a packet will be sent home with that child.
If you need to pick up a packet, contact your elementary building secretary or the District office at the following phone numbers to make arrangements.

Registering for Pre-Kindergarten
Our Pre-Kindergarten program is for children who will reach their fourth birthday on or before December 1st, 2025, and reside within the boundaries of the Camden Central School District.
Pre-Kindergarten is a free program currently held at McConnellsville Elementary School. Students will be taught by certified teachers and assistants. Breakfast or lunch is provided along with transportation to and from school. There is a plan in place to transport pre-k students who live on Camden Elementary School bus routes to McConnellsville each day.
Parental involvement is a key component of the program. Parents will have opportunities to participate alongside their child in and out of the classroom throughout the year.
We primarily offer a half-day program, with a single full-day classroom added for the 2024-25 school year. We are hoping to offer the full-day classroom again for 2025-26, pending enrollment and available funding. Under this scenario, 18 full-day spots would potentially be available, and if more than 18 children declare interest in a full-day program, a lottery would be held.
If your child is not selected for the full-day program, they will receive an opportunity in the half day program. Students selected in the lottery would also receive a half-day opportunity in the event that a full-day classroom is not made available.
To be considered for a full-day spot, please register no later than April 1st, 2025. Any registrations after that date will only be considered for full-day if less than 18 children have declared interest in full-day attendance.
Spots are limited, so registering early is highly encouraged to ensure your child's participation. We admit students to the Pre-K program on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How to register for pre-kindergarten:
Read the Pre-K registration letter.
Fill out the Pre-K registration packet, the Pre-K program preference form, and the Pre-K wraparound form. You will need to fill out all three.
Along with your forms, submit the required documentation listed at the bottom of this page.
Registering for Kindergarten
Our kindergarten program is for children who will reach their fifth birthday on or before December 1st, 2025. As with pre-kindergarten, students are taught by certified teachers and assistants, and transportation is provided. There is no cap on the number of participants in Kindergarten.
In the event your child is already enrolled in the pre-kindergarten program for the 2024-25 academic year, your registration will carry over to kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year and there is no need to re-register.
How to register for Kindergarten:
1. Fill out the Kindergarten questionaire.
2. Fill out the Kindergarten registration packet along with the Kindergarten wraparound form.
3. Along with your forms, submit the required documentation listed at the bottom of this page.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
