CAMDEN, NY - The Camden Central School District is proud to announce the launch of its new Camden CSD mobile app. The app officially launched for public use on Thursday, September 1st. It was developed through a partnership with Madison-Oneida BOCES, and Apptegy of Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Camden CSD mobile app will provide students, families, alumni, staff, and community members with a user-friendly and customizable digital experience that works in tandem with the District’s newly remodeled website from Apptegy. This app is available free of charge for users from the App Store for iPhone and iPad devices, and the Google Play Store for Android devices.
“We are very excited to get this partnership off the ground with Apptegy,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ravo Root said. “It’s going to allow the public to view a lot of important school information with just a few clicks on a cell phone, and the news feed feature will give the public even more perspective on our great programs and educational activities.”
With the app, users will have a more direct avenue to the most essential day-to-day information about the District. The app presents that information in a manner that fits with today’s mobile-friendly digital landscape, as over 85 percent of adults in the United States own a smartphone device.
Features present on the app include lunch menus, a schedule of events, athletics schedules, staff directories, bus routes, supply lists, and more. Another major feature of the app is the Live Feeds, which will offer brief news updates from inside and outside the classroom in each building, along with the district as a whole.
Users will also be able to tailor their experience to provide the information most relevant to them, with a dedicated section for each school building.
All information that will be present on the app will also continue to be available at the District’s website at CamdenSchools.org. ParentSquare will remain the District’s preferred tool for direct school-to-home communication.
