Camden Fire Department members visited our school on October 14th. They talked about home fire safety and what to do in the event of an emergency 🚨. Thank you for your time and dedication to our community.

Yeehaw 🤠!! Camden Elementary represented at the homecoming parade . A special thanks to our homecoming committee for putting together such an awesome float !!!!!

Here at the Camden Central School District, we believe in the power of peer leadership as part of our professional development program. That leadership was on display this morning, as teacher leader and second grade teacher Sue Holmes facilitated a professional development session about phonics methodology for our teachers from pre-kindergarten to fourth grade.
Attending teachers learned more about the Secret Stories phonics method, along with some tips and tricks for teaching students how to pronounce "Red Words" in the Orton-Gillingham method. They are called "Red Words" because a developing student has to generally stop and think before pronouncing them, as they may break phonemic conventions and cannot easily be sounded out phonetically.

Our CCSD team is hard at work on professional development activities as part of today's Superintendent's Conference Day, including at Camden High School!
We'll share more photos with you throughout the day!

So many cowboys and cowgirls during our spirit day Thursday, even Mr. Ferretti got in on the action! We can’t wait to see everyone at the Homecoming Parade tomorrow at 1pm.

Saturday (10/8) is parade day! The parade starts promptly at 1 pm. We hope to see as many people as possible out along our village streets as we celebrate our students, alumni, staff, and community!

Student centered conversations happening at Camden Elementary today as teacher were working to build Intervention for All (IFA) groups to make sure all student needs are met.

On Monday, students at Camden Elementary School made sure to keep their hats on at school for "Hat Day".
It's all part of spirit week here in the Camden Central School District!
