The 6th Grade Blue Team says: "Let the adventure begin!"

The CMS team was excited to get going!

For CMS Teacher Stephanie Smith, every day is now "Bring Your Child to Work Day" for the foreseeable future. Two of her own start fifth grade today, and when they move up, her first grader will be ready to carry the torch at CMS for another four years. Family is what it's all about.
Have an AWESOME year!

Give us a wave if you're the first student to arrive at Camden Middle School! #FirstDay2024

Welcome to the first day of school for the 2024-25 school year! We're excited to see everyone very shortly!

Share those first day moments with us!
If you'd like to share your first day of school pictures with us and don't mind us sharing them, send them to camdenphotos@camdencsd.org and we'd love to feature as many as we possibly can.
While we know that it is a very popular trend right now, we ask that you please refrain from submitting pictures to us with signs containing information about your child.
We're looking forward to getting the year started!

Tomorrow, we get the year started! We'll see you soon!
And to our friends in Pre-K, we're super excited to welcome you to school for your first day on Monday, 9/9!

Yesterday, we spent the morning getting inspired to make every day: "the best day ever" at our Staff Opening Day Assembly!

This morning, five Camden Central School District staff members were honored for achieving 25 years of service.
They are:
Michael Carey - CHS Social Studies
Karen Davis - CHS Social Studies
Erin Gannon - CMS Science
Tracy Hooker - CHS Special Education
and Talie Sullivan - CMS 6th Grade
Congratulations, and THANK YOU for a quarter century of serving our students and community!

Renowned science educator Steve Spangler is up to address the staff at this morning's opening day program. Considering we've already had Mrs. Allen holding a leaf blower, and a whole bunch of toilet paper is now in the front row, we think it's off to a good start.

Staff beginning to file in for Opening Day!

Camden FFA spent the day volunteering at the great NYS Fair at the Dairy Birthing Center! Patrick Eveleth spent time answering the public's questions on the Dairy Industry. Kayla Winn, Mary Hall, and Jewel Barringer spent time educating the public on newborn calves. Camden FFA members even had the opportunity to witness the "Udder Miracle" of a baby calf being born! Camden FFA provides meaningful and life long memories and opportunities to members and students!

An additional update has been made to the transportation route listings. The following are current as of Saturday, 8/31.

Matthew Albrecht was 10th place individual and Mary Hall was 5th place individual. The Camden FFA team placed in the top 10! This is an outstanding job done by Camden FFA members!

If you use a child care provider for before or after school, and have not updated your transportation at any point this summer, please call 315-245-4096 as soon as possible to confirm the provider’s address for transportation purposes.
If you have updated your pick-up and drop-off points this summer, or you do not use a before or after school child care provider, you do not need to take any action.
The Camden Central School District is using a new routing system this year to provide enhanced information about routes such as times, and elevate the level of transportation services it is able to provide.
Drivers are currently test driving the preliminary runs to evaluate ride times. We have encountered some road closures and road work, and some last minute changes that have had some effect on routing. Transportation is working to resolve those issues and reduce ride times to the extent possible.
We anticipate that we can share a route update for the start of the year on Friday, 8/30.
