25 Year Recipients

On Tuesday, September 3rd, the Camden Central School District officially opened the 2024-25 school year for staff with its annual Opening Day assembly. The occasion provides an opportunity for District leadership to connect with staff in a meaningful way, while also recognizing staff members for reaching career milestones.

This year, five Camden Central School District staff members were honored for achieving 25 years of service. They are:
Michael Carey - CHS Social Studies,
Karen Davis - CHS Social Studies,
Erin Gannon - CMS Science,
Tracy Hooker - CHS Special Education,
and Talie Sullivan - CMS 6th Grade. 

The District also recognized 30 staff members who are either new to the district, or have changed roles, including mid-year additions from the 2023-24 school year.

New Staff

The morning’s keynote speaker was accomplished STEM educator Steve Spangler, a prominent advocate for hands-on learning experiences who has won an Emmy for educational television work, and owns the Guinness World Record for teaching the world’s largest physics lesson. He also is famous for posting Youtube’s first “Diet Coke and Mentos Experiment” video and re-igniting public interest in the science behind it.
