happy fathers day
Mrs. Willson's homeroom and the rest of the 6th grade spent a busy day at the John S. Dyson NY Energy Zone and the Utica Zoo. At the Energy Zone, students completed challenges and learned how energy arrives at their homes. The Utica Zoo had many exhibits to visit and animals to see. It was a great day!

Another note from Mrs. DerCola about this evening's Grade 7-8 concert at CMS: "The construction in front of our building continues! Today they have put out fresh top soil and grass seed around our new concrete. Please do not walk through the dirt areas! Please let your guests and family not on Parentsquare know about this as well. Thank you for your cooperation during our construction."

A note from Brittany DerCola regarding entrance to tonight's 6th grade concert at CMS: We have fresh concrete that was just poured out front of our building. Please let any guests that may be coming with you, that are not on Parentsquare, to avoid this area. We did have an "oops" on Monday and we ended up with some footprints in the fresh concrete. Please be mindful of the work area!

Oaklyn the therapy dog knows how to act depending on what students need. For example, one minute she is cuddling on the floor and the next minute she is making a student laugh by proudly showing off her "bucket."

The Agriculture Electives have been hard at work crafting their ice cream recipes. They made their ice cream and were able to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Students entered their ice cream projects in the NY Agriculture in the Classroom Ice Cream Challenge contest. So lucky staff members got to enjoy a mid-morning treat.

Frank Baum, and features a wide range of honored guests such as Gita Dorothy Morena, who is Baum's great-grandaughter, and Jane Lahr. Lahr is the daughter of actor Bert Lahr, who played the Cowardly Lion in the famous 1939 motion picture.
