In recognition of Veterans Day the CMS Social Studies Department is asking all students and staff to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow (11/10/22).

As the first 10 weeks comes to an end with the first round of 7th and 8th graders for marking period 1 agriculture, it was time to learn about the food we eat! The students spent a day making overnight pickles for their class and are taste testing those pickles for the last week. The students were even kind enough to make extra to donate to faculty and staff of CMS. We hope some of our students teach their families about what they have learned and make some pickles together!

We're celebrating Native American Heritage Month, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving with books on each subject.

Mrs. Willson's 6th grade math class was excited to discover that they have been in school for 45 days because this equals 1/4 or 25% of the school year! They enjoy finding fraction, decimal, and percent equivalents on the Promethean board.

7th and 8th Grade students in Mrs. Eberly's Cooking and Baking elective have been busy learning to decorate their baked goods. Take a look at these incredible cupcakes baked and decorated by our students! They tasted as good as they look!

The Camden CSD Mobile App is ready and waiting to provide you with school news, sports schedules, lunch menus, and more, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Happy Halloween from all of us at the Camden Central School District! We hope that everyone in our communities has a fun and safe evening!

Students at CMS participated in a mindfulness and meditation lesson led by Mrs. Stephanie Smith as part of the social and emotional learning program. The goal is to help students learn to self-regulate and manage their emotions.

Students at Camden Middle School celebrated Red Ribbon week with the theme of "Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free!" Students signed the pledge to live a drug free life during their lunch periods on Thursday 10/27.

Mrs. Johnson's fifth-grade class made three-dimensional webs for spiders to prepare for Halloween. While spooky music played, students spun webs ending up with results that were as individual as the students themselves!

Did you know that Girls' Wrestling is one of the fastest growing high school sports in New York State? Did you know it is also a rapidly expanding opportunity for participation in women's college sports, with programs recently forming at Elmira College and Utica University?
The Camden Central School District athletic department wants to bring these opportunities to interested students.
Girls in grades 7-12 who may be interested in forming a Girls' Wrestling program can learn more at an informational "Try It Out" night, which will be held on Thursday, October 20th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm in the CHS Wrestling Room and Main Gym.
Prospective wrestlers can experience a sample practice session, meet with coaches, and receive more information about how they can get on the mat as soon as this season.
Contact the Camden Athletic Office for more information!
