The Camden Central School District has announced an update to its COVID-19 procedures, effective for the start of the 2022-23 academic year.
This update was created with a recent joint statement from the New York State Education Department and New York State Department of Health in mind. That statement was released to school districts on August 22nd, 2022 and can be viewed here.
In the Event of a Positive Test: If a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19, they should isolate for a period of five days, and evaluate their condition at the conclusion of that period.
We will continue with the following commonsense safety measures to start the school year. These measures were in place last year, and may change over time as circumstances dictate.
Hand Sanitizer - Will be available on buses, classrooms, some hallways and in cafeterias.
Enhanced Vehicle Ventilation - The front windows on a bus will be cracked open 2 inches, and the hatch in the rear of each bus will be opened to allow air to circulate through the vehicle.
Surface Cleaning - Custodians will continue to clean and disinfect high traffic areas.
Testing Opportunities - We will provide Antigen COVID-19 Tests to any employee or family member who voluntarily requests one from our school nurses. Those tests remain free of charge.
Thank you for your continued support of our work to cultivate a positive and consistent learning environment for our students.
