Congratulations to our Camden CSD Athletes of the Week for the week encompassing 1/27-2/2, as voted on by CHS Students! Our winners this week are Astro Johnson (Girls' Wrestling) and Billy Bernabe (Alpine Skiing).
Astro was selected for being a great teammate, as well as having success on the mat. Astro took 4th place in the 152 weight class at the Homer Legacy tournament and currently holds a 22-10 record on the season.
Billy was selected by his peers for being a team leader, and for his performances on the slopes in one of the most important weeks of competition he's ever had. At the Winter Carnival event in Lake Placid, he placed third and second on his two runs in slalom at Pigsah. In the giant slalom event, he took first and second place finishes on his two runs at Whiteface Mountain. Outside of high school competition, Billy returned to Lake Placid this past weekend to compete in the Empire State Games!
Keep your eyes on this space for next week's winners!

Records are made to be broken, so why not break your own? Isaac Lynch did exactly that on Tuesday, February 4th. As Camden defeated Oneida 91-88 in double overtime, the Blue Devils' big man delivered a career night with a school-record 48 points to go with an impressive 17 rebounds.
Lynch reached his new single game scoring record on the weight of a 15-of-28 shooting performance from the field, and he connected twice on five attempts from beyond the arc. He also finished the night 12-of-17 from the free throw line. The previous mark stood at 39 points, which he set in a game at New Hartford back in December.
In equally-as-exciting news, Isaac is now just 78 points away from reaching the 1,000 point mark for his career. The Blue Devils will play their next three games at home. We will keep you in the loop game-by-game to give you the best chance of being there when it happens!
Camden will host CVA on Friday at 6:30, and Sandy Creek on Saturday at 1.

Mrs. Libertella's college-level chemistry class is here to tell you that there are less than 140 days until graduation!!! On Friday, the class made this 140 link paper chain, one for each remaining day they are in high school, and on each link are some of their favorite memories from their time here from Pre-K until today!
The countdown now sits at 137 days.
