On Thursday, December 19th, the MV Jugglers ice hockey program hosted its annual Teacher Appreciation night! Each player had the opportunity to recognize a faculty member from their home school that has had a meaningful impact on their education.
As part of the evening, CHS students Brodie and Evan Buckingham were able to recognize Science Teacher Bob Wilson for his efforts!
The Jugglers are a cooperative hockey team featuring students from about a dozen area high schools, including Camden.
Come see the Jugglers at the Nexus Center on Friday at 7:30 PM, or Saturday at 1 PM.

JV and Varsity Girls' Basketball celebrated the season with their annual Christmas Eve breakfast!
Of course, the occasion wasn't complete without a few Blue Devil hoops alumni stopping by to join the group!

Before break, the Camden High School FFA held its Christmas party. About 20 students attended! The Camden High School FFA is growing its membership each week!

DDP Students at CHS completed the Nut Cracker Project just in time for Holiday Break! These functional nut crackers look a lot different than the traditional toy soldiers but sure get the job done. Students designed and constructed their blocks, learning to cut threads using a tap and dye set and they applied a food-safe finish.

Come join our team! We are looking for a Cafeteria Manager to work with the team at Camden High School. Apply no later than January 10th!

On Tuesday, December 17th, Mrs. Dacey’s MVCC Business/Personal Law class had a special guest to share his unique perspective on how the law impacts his day-to-day duties in the Camden Central School District.
That guest? None other than CHS Assistant Principal Dr. William Snyder. Dr. Snyder shared a lot of details with the class about how the law constantly overlaps with school administration. Among the topics he discussed included school codes of conduct, progressive discipline, and the compulsory age to attend school. He also discussed how the law governs suspension, expulsion, and student searches.
Within the framework of the law, he stressed the importance of giving students every opportunity to make a situation right through teachable moments and second chances, in hopes of empowering them to become productive students and citizens.
He also discussed the scope of jurisdiction for our district School Patrol Officers, and their role in protecting the safety and security of the school community.

Outside of performing in their recent holiday concert, the Camden High School select choirs have been busy this season. They have sang at the Camden Tree Lighting, Toys for Tots, and the Camden Holiday Stroll. They recently finished off the season by caroling at some residences in the village!

From building gingerbread houses.... to seeing how the pros do it! Mrs. McPheron took her students down to the Turning Stone Resort today for a behind-the-scenes tour of how they constructed their impressive Gingerbread House display!

Whether the choice is a sweater, a flannel, or other winter apparel, today is Family Photo Day as part of CHS Holiday Spirit Week!
Dr. Betsy Bernabe and Billy Bernabe '25 took the occasion to the next level by taking an actual family photo today.

Mrs. Libertella took her MVCC Dual-Credit Chemistry students to the MVCC Utica Campus today to test their samples of silver utilizing the institution's Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer.
In addition, they were given a tour of their FAB Lab and Machine Shop! Thanks to Mohawk Valley Community College for welcoming our students and always being a great partner.
