The Camden Central School District would like to congratulate two students who brought home some ribbons from Wednesday's 4-H Poultry Show at the Boonville-Oneida County Fair.
Matthew Albrecht '27 was selected as the "master showman" of the 4-H Poultry Show for his work with his silkie chicken named "Drumstick". "Drumstick" was raised with the help of the Camden Middle School agriculture classroom, which oversaw a group of baby chicks this spring as part of its poultry unit.
Dalton Metott '28 showed his Barred Rock chickens and received a first place award for showmanship. Making the experience even better was that the District's Camp Sum-More-Fun Agriculture Campers were attending the fair that day to see how a livestock show works, and they got to see some of their peers win awards for it.
The District applauds both students for taking their interest in agriculture a step further, and instructors Karly Marshman and Brianne Willson for their work in elevating agriculture education at Camden.
