Dear Parents & Caregivers; Teachers, Admin & Staff; Students & Family Members; Community & Business Partners:
The Camden Central School District receives federal aid through a program known as Title I. This financial assistance helps provide all children with a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and also to close educational achievement gaps among groups of students. This federal program provides supplemental financial assistance to school districts/schools with a high percentage of children from low-income families, to provide all children a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, high-quality education and to close educational achievement gaps.
The district will be hosting an informational meeting relating to Title I on the evening of Thursday, September 14, 2023 at MES and Thursday September 21 at CES to ask parents, families and community members for their input and feedback on how we did for the 2022-23 school year. We ask attendees to let us know if there are any barriers that they feel are hindering parent involvement in Title I activities.
Below is a brief agenda of items we would like to discuss with members from all areas of the district, with a particular emphasis on families whose children attend the Middle school, Camden Elementary, or McConnellsville Elementary.
This meeting will be held prior to our annual open house at the McConnellsville Elementary school. A short summary of the topics covered is below, or you can click here for the agenda.
