On Thursday, November 2nd, The Friends of Camden Central School Foundation hosted a plaque dedication ceremony in the Camden High School lobby. The ceremony recognized generous supporters of the Friends of Camden Central School Foundation scholarship from 2020, 2021, and 2022 who had their donor plaques recently mounted on the display wall.
The evening was a celebration of the combined community effort to support Camden High School students with an annual scholarship in the Foundation’s name. It featured musical entertainment from Camden High School band members under the direction of Mr. Matthew Donaleski.
Four different speakers offered remarks. Speaking on behalf of the Foundation was former Camden High School teacher Patti Kimball. Camden Middle School teacher Kathryn Wilson represented the Camden Teachers’ Association. Camden Elementary School principal Craig Ferretti offered thoughts on behalf of the Camden Administrators Association. Scholarship recipients were represented by Aubrey (Coon) Clark ‘12, who was able to use her scholarship at Hamilton College to study Geoscience and play on the institution’s nationally-recognized field hockey team.
The Friends of Camden Central School Foundation is always looking for new committee members as well as donors. Please reach out to FCCSF secretary, Kate Donaleski, at kdonaleski@camdencsd.org if interested.
