On Monday, May 20th, eighth graders in the Camden Central School District had the chance to learn from the pros. Many of them were from career fields other than sports. Such was the story as Camden Middle School played host to its eighth grade career day.
Across a dozen classrooms, students had the opportunity to explore careers of their choice during a half day schedule by interacting with over 15 real-world professionals. Fields of interest included education, law enforcement, sports and fitness, manufacturing, engineering, real estate, banking, auto repair, nursing, retail marketing, agriculture and more.
Along the way, they created a merchandising plan, met a calf, participated in a fitness demonstration, and had a whole lot of fun.
We’d like to thank every single presenter who stopped in to share their knowledge and experience. Your insights and advice will be valuable to our students for years to come!
