Camden Central School District -

On the morning of Monday, September 16, 2024, the Camden Central School District received additional concerns about potentially threatening postings shared on social media.

The District promptly referred the matter to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office for investigation. Through our cooperative investigation, we have found that the information circulating is in reference to the social media statements presented to the District on Thursday, September 12th 2024.

That information was deemed not to provide evidence of any direct or credible threat. Through the findings of today’s investigation, the District’s understanding of the matter has not changed, and there is no evidence of any threat to our students, staff, or our school community.

Our students and staff are not in any danger, and operations will continue as scheduled on Monday, September 16th, 2024 with this understanding. The District is thankful to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office for its prompt attention in this matter. The well-being of our staff, students, and communities remains our highest priority.
