The Camden High School Music Department is thrilled to announce that sixteen of its students earned the opportunity to participate in the 2024 New York State School Music Association Zone 4 Area All-State Festival. This year’s festival was held from Friday, November 22nd to Saturday, November 23rd at Whitesboro High School.
At the Area All-State Festival, students from across the region come together for two days of rehearsal, collaboration, and performance in instrumental and choral disciplines. Zone 4 includes students from Oswego, Oneida, and Herkimer Counties, so each student gets to interact with peers from anywhere ranging from Little Falls to Oswego, and anywhere in between. Students are selected by their scores from the previous school year’s NYSSMA solo festival.
The participants spend all day Friday into Saturday morning rehearsing together before performing their Festival concert on Saturday afternoon.
