The Camden High School Music Department is pleased to announce that senior Isabella Wing was selected to participate in the 2024 New York State School Music Association All-State Festival in Rochester. The Festival took place during the weekend of December 7th and 8th as part of the 2024 NYSSMA Conference.
Wing, who recently participated in the Area All-State Orchestra, was invited to showcase her vocal talents as a member of the All-State Mixed Chorus. During the festival, she participated in three days of rehearsal, culminating in a Sunday morning performance at the internationally-recognized Eastman Theatre.
The carefully-selected ensemble was a collection of the state’s best and brightest student singers. Isabella earned her spot in the chorus by receiving a score of 100 for her NYSSMA solo evaluation back in May, and was notified in September that she was accepted into the ensemble. There were a total of 224 singers from across New York in the Mixed Chorus.
NYSSMA, the New York State School Music Association, is the largest state affiliate of the National Association for Music Education. The Mission of the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) is to advance music education across New York State for its membership and students in member school programs.
