CAMDEN, NY - The Camden Central School District athletic department is pleased to announce that two girls’ tennis student-athletes have been selected to the 2024 Tri-Valley League all-star team. The honors were revealed this week following a thorough survey of the league’s ten head coaches.
Seniors McKenzie Allard and Lainie Liberatore were chosen as two of the eight singles competitors on this year’s list. Both reached the Section III semifinals in Division II singles. The tandem led the way for the Blue Devils to finish with a 12-4 dual match record, and an 8-2 Tri-Valley League ledger. The league record was good for an impressive second place finish.
Allard finished the year with an overall singles record of 13-5. She had a pair of wins in the individual Section III tournament before a loss to fellow TVL All-Star Lauren Levatino of Whitesboro in the semifinals.
Liberatore was 16-4 in her senior year for singles competition. A crowning achievement of her career was a spirited run through the Section III Division II tournament, in which she opened first round play as the 20th seed. On her way to a semifinal spot, she defeated two of her fellow TVL All-Stars.
The pair advanced to the State Qualifier at Drumlins in Syracuse to round out their final season.
