Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Platt and Mr. Janes was action-packed! They introduced their class to the Steve Spangler Energy Stick. The Energy Stick is a fun science activity that can connect an entire room, or an entire school! It uses the conductivity of the human body to pass a very slight electrical current. If a whole group is holding hands, the stick will light up to indicate a complete circuit!
Happy First Day of Pre-K! This morning, we welcomed in a brand new group of our youngest learners as they start their journey with us, and we will say "hello" to some more this afternoon with our PM Half Day classes!
We got a few more first day pictures this weekend! At this time, we are closing submissions for all grade levels except Pre-K, which starts today!
If you'd like to share your First Day of Pre-K pictures, the email inbox remains open to you at camdenphotos@camdencsd.org.
The Camden FFA chapter recently spent a day volunteering during the New York State Fair at the fair's Dairy Birthing Center.
Patrick Eveleth answered questions from the public about the Dairy Industry. Kayla Winn, Mary Hall, and Jewel Barringer spent time educating the public on newborn calves. During their time there, they had the opportunity to witness an "Udder Miracle" as a baby calf was born before their eyes!
Participation at fairs is one of many ways that the Camden FFA provides meaningful opportunities, practical experiences, and lifelong memories to its student members.
WCHS News has moved into its temporary studio space, and is hard at work bringing today's morning announcements to the student body!
For several years, Camden CSD students have received a free breakfast and lunch through the Community Eligibility Provision without an application requirement, and that is continuing this year.
While not required for meals, we still encourage all district families to fill out the Income Eligibility Form each year, regardless of circumstances.
It’s free, it’s confidential, it only takes a few minutes, and it can have a positive impact on the resources available to our staff and students. See the informational graphic below to learn more about how filling out the Income Eligibility Form can make a difference in our school community.
Forms are available at https://www.camdenschools.org/o/ccsd/page/food-services, and you may have also seen one come home with your child recently.
Questions can be directed to the Camden CSD Business Office.
The CMS 7th Grade Baloo Team made some memories at the start of school with some "Minute to Win It" contests on the baseball field! Let's see what our first full week brings!

Then.... and Now!
In 2016, Levi took this picture with his aunt, CHS English Teacher MacKenzie Pereira. Eight years later, he's walking into CHS to start his freshman year!
Thanks to our families for the support of this first day initiative! We had a ton last year, and we hope to make this a tradition for many years to come. Stay tuned.... some of these will end up in a little video we're working on!
Presenting.... for the first time.... the CHS Class of 2025! The class gathered today for their senior yearbook group photo after a brief informational meeting with CHS administrators. Perfect Game Imaging was on site to take the official photo, which we'll pass along when we have it.
