Camden FFA members and greenhouse management students recently spent time building 7 new vertical growing systems! The systems will be used to help grow lettuce for Camden community members in need!
Come build birdhouses, and learn valuable parenting strategies along the way with Connected Community Schools and CFLR! They will be offering this event on two different dates in the CMS Cafeteria. Presenting the Camden Boys' Varsity Soccer Class of 2025! The Blue Devils took a moment to recognize four seniors for their contributions to the program ahead of Thursday's match against Holland Patent.

It's Salmon season in Central New York, so it's only fitting that students get the opportunity to learn about this precious part of our local ecosystem, and the 7th Grade GOAT team did exactly that!
They enjoyed a beautiful fall day learning about the spawning and stocking of Coho and Chinook Salmon from Lake Ontario while at the Salmon River Hatchery in Altmar.
After watching the harvesting process, and seeing salmon climb the ladders to reach the hatchery, students enjoyed a hike to Salmon River Falls. While at the falls they enjoyed the sunshine, posing for pictures, and making memories with friends. The GOAT Team teachers want to give a shout out to the students for their excellent behavior all day!

Winter Sports registration for all JV and Varsity teams, plus Modified Volleyball, Modified Wrestling, and Modified Nordic Skiing is now open! Practices for these sports begin on November 18th.
Registration for the remaining modified sports not listed above will open on November 2nd, and their practices will begin on December 2nd.

Camden Elementary School Families! Just a friendly reminder that you are invited to the upcoming Camden Elementary School Fall Carnival! This exciting annual event will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 4:30 to 6:00 at CES!
Camden Elementary School, Camden Middle School, and McConnellsville Elementary School families! Save the date for our 2024 Title One Fall Reading Spectacular, entitled "Reading Is My Superpower"!
This free event will feature exciting reading-themed activities, the chance to receive a free book, and we will have a special guest: author Eric Litwin, the acclaimed children's author of the widely-recognized Pete the Cat and Groovy Joe series!
The event will take place on Thursday, November 7th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at CES.
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Camden Elementary School on Monday, October 21st through Friday, October 25th! CES Families will have the opportunity to shop during the Fall Carnival from 4:30-6pm on Thursday, October 24th. Contact the Main Office if you have any questions.
The Blue Devils boys' modified closes out on a three game road trip, so today's a great day to come support the team at their last home match!
It's Gameday in the Queen Village! Tonight, Blue Devils varsity football hosts Oneida at 6:30 PM at the Camden High School Stadium as the team closes out the regular season with the first outing of a two-game homestand. As always, admission is free for Blue Devil home games.

Some helpful reminders for tonight's game:
-An adult must accompany all elementary and middle school students. Students not accompanied by an adult will not be allowed in.
- Playing catch or games of any kind will not be allowed.
- Students should not wander around and should be cheering for our Blue Devils!
- Capital project construction is still happening. Please stay away from any taped-off areas.
- Spectators are expected to abide by the Camden Central School District Sportsmanship Policy.

There was a lot of kicking and screaming happening last night at the CHS Stadium. That was a good thing as the Camden AYSO hosted its annual AYSO Olympics with the help of student-athlete and community volunteers!

Camden Elementary School First Graders took a walking field trip to the Camden Police Station. Thank you Chief Redden and the Camden Police Department for giving the children a tour and showing us what you do every day for our community!
The Camden Central School District is excited to announce the addition of its brand new “Let’s Play!” program to its early childhood offerings. The “Let’s Play” program is a new monthly program aimed at two-year-olds and their families, with the aim of progressing into the “Look at Me, I’m Three!” program for the following year, and a pre-kindergarten program for the year after that.
To be eligible for this program, a student must reside in the Camden Central School District, and be two years old, or reach that age on or before December 1st 2024.
The program will be offered at no cost to families. It will take place during the daytime, and will consist of a monthly one-hour block of play-based learning and socialization with parent/guardian involvement. The inaugural meeting is set to be held on Wednesday, October 30th from 10 to 11 AM at Camden Elementary School.
Participation for this first meeting will be limited to 15 children, and will be on a first-contact, first-serve basis. RSVPs are required each month.
