Miss the Early Registration window? No worries! We are still welcoming any and all Kindergarten registrations for the 2026-27 school year!
If the child is already in Pre-K with us, it will carry over and they do not need to re-register.

During the morning of Thursday, March 12th, 19 students from Camden High School explored the possibilities available through the Camden Central School District's school-to-work internship program with International Wire! Students came loaded with questions about this global company in our hometown, and the opportunities available in engineering, manufacturing, finance, human resources, and more! Through this program, students can gain valuable real-world experience and dual credits for CHS and Mohawk Valley Community College. We currently have our second internship class making its way through the program.
Our students were accompanied by business teachers Steven Klepadlo and Judy Dacey, and technology teacher Jake Bates.
If you have a freshman or sophomore who might be interested in pursuing this avenue in the future, have them discuss it with a teacher in the business or technology departments, along with their school counselor.
Thank you to the IW team for taking time to host us today!

Camden Elementary's 3rd grade Coding Club is now in session! These young engineers are busy coding, troubleshooting, and bringing their robots to life. Using block-based programming, they’re learning how to program Dash and Dot robots, navigate obstacles, and complete challenges. Watching these young minds collaborate to solve a logic puzzle or cheer when their robot moves is what it's all about!

Third graders in Mrs. Malenowski's IFA reading group coded Ozobots to complete a museum maze challenge while reading the book "From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler."
Ozobots are a way to teach basic programming principles and how to create an output from a series of inputs. The robots can follow a drawn or printed path and follow directions based on different color codes.

The "Let's Play" two-year-old program was feeling lucky during their March meetings! Themed activities focusing on fine and gross motor skills were at the center of last week's sessions. To work on the former, students and families completed a paper leprechaun craft. For the latter, our attendees completed a tunnel crawl. Along the way, our two-year-old participants are making friends, playing together, and learning a lot about what it means to be at school!
Stay tuned for details on the April meetings!

On Monday, fourth graders from McConnellsville Elementary School had a very special visitor! Mrs. Hollis had her nephew, Logan Eastman, drop by for a visit. Logan, from nearby Pulaski, is a Head Diesel Mechanic in the US Marine Corps, and recently returned from an overseas tour in nations such as Japan and South Korea! He gave an overview of the work he does, and made plenty of time for student questions about the challenges and opportunities of being a Marine. He also brought some interesting items from his service including his Marine Corps Ring, the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem that each Marine receives upon graduating, and a jacket from the South Korean Marines!
The visit wrapped up with our fourth grade students reprising their musical performance of "The Brave", which they also sang at the school's veterans' day assembly in November.

Today, March 7th, is the final day of National School Social Work Week for 2026, so we leave you a reminder that we have one of the best around up at CHS! Earlier this school year, the one and only Michelle Mellon was honored as the New York State School Social Worker of the Year, and we thought this was a good time to pull this story back into your timeline.

Operated in partnership with Special Olympics New York, the Unified Sports program offers an accessible and rewarding avenue for students with and without intellectual disabilities to compete as part of the same team, while building skills and lifelong friendships. Another production "Easter Egg" for you today. You probably observed the large monument as part of the set for the town of "Ashton" in Big Fish. Take a closer look at the inscription, and you'll notice a few familiar names got put on there.

We have four bowlers still in the mix as day two begins at the Section III Individual Shootout!
Alex Lallier, Braylon Lyke, Ayden Gerow, and Pietra Van der Werff advanced to this point by placing in the top 50 percent of bowlers from the first round, and today, they bowl three more games and vie for the opportunity to compete as individuals at the upcoming state championship! The top six competitors in Divisions I and II for boys and girls will advance as Section III's representatives.
After one day of competition, Gerow leads the Division II boys field, while Lyke (10th) and Lallier (11th) also remain in contention. In girls' competition, Van der Werff sits in tenth position at the moment and will look to climb into a qualifying position.
Let's go Blue Devils!

So, there was a "Giant" reason for one of our characters to use that walking stick we told you about last week. CHS Freshman Zeke Henderson played the massive role of Karl the Giant in "Big Fish", and his lines were only part of the act. The vast majority of his time on stage was spent on these special stilts pictured here.
Check back tomorrow and we'll show you another fun detail from the production!
