Rehearsals are ramping up for our 2026 CHS Musical Production, "Big Fish", and from a short firsthand experience.... you are all in for a treat in two weeks' time!
The cast and crew have a big day coming up on Saturday with their annual Sitzprobe. Sitzprobe is German for "Sitting Rehearsal". It is the crucial first music rehearsal featuring the full pit orchestra for the production. As the name implies, it is done seated, with the choreography implementation to follow.
Come and see the show on Friday, February 27th at 7:00 PM, or on Saturday, February 28th at 2 PM or 7:30 PM. Thanks to the continued support of the Tuthill grant, admission is free. If you'd like to reserve tickets for a specific show/general seating location, email musicaltix@camdencsd.org and they'll get you set.
During the afternoon of Thursday, February 12th, students at Camden Elementary School had some special visitors to read them a story! The Camden Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society was on hand for some small group read-alongs throughout the building! The CMS students enjoyed re-connecting with some of their past teachers and staff, and the younger students had the chance to connect with some of their older peers from the Middle School!
Visits are planned each month through the end of the school year!

It's a sport sensation, and every four years, it sweeps the nation - pun intended!
As athletes compete for top honors in Milan and Cortina, our Camden Middle School students are going for the gold here at home with a Physical Education unit about curling, which comes complete with a "curling" tournament on scooters!

Any questions? Call Val at 315-271-8780!

Due to the weather conditions, the "Look at Me, I'm Three!" program, and the Camden Elementary School Very Important Person Dance scheduled for the evening of February 11th, are cancelled.
The CES Dance will be re-scheduled to a later date. More information to follow soon from the main office.

Last week, our dedicated teachers came together for our Camden Elementary Data Days. It was a time of deep collaboration, focused entirely on the growth and success of your children. We were honored that board member Ben Mitchell attended to see this important work!
We did not just look at spreadsheets; we looked at the faces behind the facts. Our teams spent the days: analyzing reading and math trends, making intentional instructional shifts, and collaborating as grade level teams to make sure every Cougar has the tools for success!
We are so deeply committed to the overall well-being of our students. By taking this time to pause and reflect on our data, we ensure that no child is overlooked and that our teaching remains as purposeful and caring as possible.
We are so proud of the hard work our students are putting in, and we are honored to partner with you in their journey! 🐾✨

Congratulations to senior Mason Butler and sophomore Talon Kimball on claiming championships at this past weekend's Section III Class B Championship Tournament hosted by Central Valley Academy! The title-clinching duo led the Blue Devils to a fourth place finish in the team standings, amidst a host of other strong performances.
Butler rolled through his competition with three victories at 132 lbs. The senior pinned Mexico's Blake Pugh in just 1:12 in the first round, then dominated his semifinal and final matches with a pair of technical fall victories to claim the title. The Class B championship is Butler's first, and builds on a pair of prior podium finishes. He was second in the 2024 tournament at 101 lbs, and fifth in 2025 at 124 lbs. He is 31-3 overall this season, and enters the Section III Division II tournament with 83 career victories.
In his fourth year on the varsity, Kimball ascended to the top spot on the Class B podium for the first time as the 144 lb. champion. He had three prior podium finishes at this event, two of which were runner-up placements at 110 lbs and 116 lbs. As the top overall seed in his weight class, Kimball received a bye into the semifinals. He didn't waste the opportunity as he made efficient work of both opponents with two pinfall victories. Kimball is 22-1 overall this season, and has not lost a match since December 5th. His lone loss came while wrestling at 150 pounds. He also recently recorded his 100th career victory.
Eight other Blue Devil wrestlers placed on the podium on the class meet. Bradyn Hatzinger (126), Zadick Kelley (103), and Jackson Wolford (175) all logged third place finishes with tournament records of 3-1. William Kantor (190) and Richie Angell (285) placed fourth in their respective weight classes, while Gabe Grinnell (132), Troy Cox (150) and Jose Negron (138) placed in fifth.
The Blue Devils now turn their attention to the Section III Division II Championship Meet, to be held on Saturday, February 14th at Onondaga Community College. Athletes in the top four of each class meet automatically qualify, with additional opportunities for wild card entries.
