It's back!!! The Camden CSD Athletic Department offers you a first glimpse at our 2024-25 basketball squads with the annual Blue Devil HoopsFest Event! There will be a three point competition, skills competitions, intrasquad scrimmages, and a crowd favorite: the annual "Coaches vs. Cops" game!
The fun happens on Friday, November 22nd at 6 PM at the CHS Main Gym! Admission is free and the concession stand will be open with a limited selection of items.
There's still time to get in on the Camden Corner Store online apparel sale! It runs through November 24th! Proceeds benefit the annual Camden Corner Store Scholarship fund.

Sometimes a little treat is nice to wrap up the week. This afternoon, we had the opportunity to host representatives from Dunkin Donuts through the High School Nation Program! They passed out gift cards and free samples of their Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher product.
There was also a large Connect Four game in the cafeteria, which Mrs. Ciotti and Mrs. Rose were happy to pick up and play. There's an urban legend out there that says Mrs. Ciotti can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves, but Mrs. Rose was our winner today.

For a small donation before the show, you can have your photo taken with this incredible work of art, with proceeds to benefit future musical productions at CMS. During the school day, it is living in the CMS Library Media Center along with a curated collection of books by the story's author, Roald Dahl.
If you know how many miles per gallon it gets running on a tank of Wonka's Fizzy Lifting Drinks, please let us know. It's for science.

Friendly Reminder to Winter Athletes: On November 21st, a mandatory player and parent/guardian information meeting will occur at 6:00 PM in the Camden High School Auditorium.
This meeting will provide information and expectations for the 2024-2025 Winter season. After this meeting, all winter sports programs will host pre-season team meetings.
Our guest speaker for the evening will be Paul Muench. Paul has over 30 years of experience in education. He served as a teacher and Head Football Coach at Oswego and Fayetteville-Manlius High Schools. As President of Daneli Partners, Paul conducts leadership development seminars for businesses, schools, athletic programs, and nonprofits, focusing on motivation and team building.

Wednesday, November 13th was World Kindness Day! In honor of the occasion, a local small business, Two Broke Besties, sponsored a bracelet giveaway for an educator who makes a difference in the community, and our own Stephanie Kowalski was selected!
She was able to gift each of her 3rd graders at CES a set of bracelets in hopes to inspire them to be kind, helpful, positive and thoughtful. The students were full of smiles when they received a bracelet with their name and a kind message. A special thank you to the Two Broke Besties team for their constant support of our students, for sharing their incredible talents, and helping to spread love and kindness by doing such a generous giveaway!
On Wednesdays we play with puppies at Camden Middle School!🐶 There's no better place to be than in the CMS Media Center when the Lewis Manor Labradoodles come to visit!
Congratulations to Camden High School junior Daisy Strebel! Daisy recently won 1st place in the inaugural Farm to School Poster Contest hosted by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County.
She was awarded a $100 gift card and the poster will be displayed at Cornell Cooperative Extension's presentation during the Annual New York Farm Bureau State Convention at Turning Stone Resort Casino in December!
UPDATE: As of this morning, they are now at 139 total items of food donated! The freshman class is running in third with 39 items, the junior class has 46 items, and the senior class is leading with 54. They'd love to make it to 200 total donations by Friday! The Camden High School chapter of the National Honor Society has started its annual Fall Food Drive to support local families. To make the initiative even more engaging and impactful, the chapter has added a friendly inter-class competition to the mix this year.
From November 1st until Friday, November 22nd, students can bring non-perishable food items, such as those in cans and boxes, to their designated class location at Camden High School.

By donating food, our school community can help ensure that our neighbors have access to nutritious meals. The grade level that donates the most food will be rewarded with an ice cream party.

Today was the student preview performance of this year's CMS Musical: Willy Wonka Jr! This abridged performance offers the opportunity for performers to showcase their talents in front of their peers and tie up any loose ends ahead of the upcoming performance days! It also provides vital access to live theater for every student in attendance.
Come see the show on Thursday, November 14th, and Friday, November 15th!

Reminder: The Camden Central School District Athletic Department will be hosting its Fall 2024 Signing Day Ceremony TODAY, Wednesday, November 13th at 5:00 PM in the Camden High School Main Gymnasium! At the ceremony, four student-athletes will sign to compete collegiately at Division I and Division II institutions. Participating athletes include:
Kendall Musch - Division I Softball, St. Bonaventure
Camryn Shenk - Division I Softball, LeMoyne
Lyla Robertson - Division II Field Hockey, Roberts Wesleyan
Ryen Lago - Division II Field Hockey, Roberts Wesleyan
Family, friends, and supporters are welcome to attend. The ceremony will also be streamed on the Camden Central School District HUDL page.
