Congratulations to Billy Bernabe on his performance at the New York State Alpine Skiing Championships earlier this week! Billy tackled the giant slalom course at the world-renowned Whiteface Mountain Ski Center in Lake Placid with a terrific 10th place finish out of 66 competitors!
Way to go!

Camden Schools have a 2 hour delay on Thursday, February 29 due to poor weather conditions. No AM Pre-K or AM BOCES.
CHS did Oliver back in 1990, and in remembrance of that occasion, there will be cast photos from that year on display throughout this weekend's performances! Come to one of the shows for a closer look!
With the Musical coming up, we thought we'd take a quick trip back in time. In 2004, CHS performed "Grease", and it admittedly brings a smile to our faces to see some of the same folks still dedicated to helping our students with this endeavor today.
CHS was honored to host a few members of the extended CCSD family that work on the team at local manufacturing firm Collins Aerospace! LeRyiah Buckingham '18 was on hand representing the company to our students, and Allison Holmes, the daughter of McVille teacher Sue Holmes, also presented about her job in the engineering field.

Is your student looking for a spring sport? How about golf or tennis? The Camden CSD Athletic Department is looking for interested athletes for both sports for the Spring 2024 season. Grades 7-12 are eligible. Please note a Middle School athlete must pass the APP test for varsity tennis competition.
High Schoolers can see Mr. Mazzaferro with questions. Middle School students should see Mr. Klatt for more information on how to get started.
Once that's squared away, you can register with FamilyID/Arbiter here!

Congratulations to Camden eighth grader Talon Kimball on placing seventh at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships in Albany! After falling in his championship bracket match, the eighth grader fought his way to the placement matches through the consolation bracket with two wins: One by pinfall, and another by decision. He won the 7th place match with a Major Decision victory.
Did we mention he's only in eighth grade?!?
Congratulations, and here's to a very bright future!
Camden Middle School sixth grader Claire Barber recently had the chance to play the game she loves on an internationally-recognized stage. Barber, a member of the Utica Junior Comets 12u Girls Ice Hockey team, participated with her teammates in the International Ice Hockey Federation’s 2024 Global Girls Game held from February 16th to February 18th.
The Global Girls Game is a worldwide event that consists of a series of almost 40 hockey games for women and girls around the world. Start times were staggered so that effectively, there is a game being played as part of the event at any time throughout the three day period. During each game, a team is designated as either “Team Blue” or “Team White”, and an aggregate score across all games is kept.
In honor of Utica hosting the IIHF Women’s World Championship this April, the Jr. Comets organization had the chance to hold a home game as USA Hockey’s official representative in the global series. The Jr. Comets defeated the Binghamton Blizzard, and then formally handed off the festivities to two teams across the world in Kazakhstan.
Claire also recently met Olympic Gold Medalist and multiple-time World Champion Megan Keller of Team USA as part of the build-up to the tournament!

Pictures from Friday's Section III Quarterfinal at Chittenango. Not the result we had hoped for in a 58-53 loss, but certainly an effort to be proud of as the boys battled all the way down to the wire. The Blue Devils wrap up a terrific season at a 16-5 overall record.
Remember.... spring sports registration is in progress! If your student is interested in signing up, please do so soon!

Tonight's Boys Basketball game will be streamed via HUDL at the following link: https://fan.hudl.com/_/_/_/organization/_/_/watch?b=QnJvYWRjYXN0OTkyMzQz
Update: Kolton and Talon wrestled in tight matches, but unfortunately, both lost by decision in their first championship bracket bouts at states.
However, there's still plenty to earn and compete for in the consolation bracket, with podium places 3 through 7 on offer. Kolton is seeking a second straight state podium, while Talon is hunting for his first.
This is how the road ahead looks now. Keep after it, gentlemen!
It's gameday, Blue Devil nation! Tonight the boys head to Chittenango for a Section III quarterfinal matchup with the Bears. Admission at the door is $2 for adults, and $1 for students, so please bring cash with you for tonight.
Going forward, Section III ticketing policies will apply for the semis and finals.
