We have found another way you can save! With the Camden Central School District's participation in the National School Lunch Program, our families with a student enrolled in the District can save over 50 percent on their monthly Amazon Prime bill with Amazon's Prime Access program.
This program cuts down the monthly bill for a subscription from 14.99/month to 6.99/month. Please note that signing up will cancel your existing subscription and replace it with a new one at the reduced rate.
Proof of eligibility is required. If you signed up for the Affordable Connectivity Program, you may already have what you need to establish eligibility. When filling out the form, attach a picture or screenshot of the Affordable Connectivity Program eligibility letter you may have received earlier this school year, and that should be sufficient to receive your discount. If you need a new letter, contact the main office and they can furnish a typed letter to you via email, or by sending it home with your child.

Before the break, 1st graders from Miss Schaehfer's class created their own Jan Brett inspired gingerbread people with Miss Lis in art class! Great job, first graders!

The Middle School Library lunch crew has been working on a 500 piece puzzle for a few weeks and has just finished it! They started a new one as soon as this was done. If you have a 500 piece-or-similar puzzle with all the pieces you'd be willing to pass along for the students to enjoy, please send it along to Mrs. Bloomquist or Mrs. Britton on the CMS Media Center.

As many of you heard, our Athletic Director, Josh Mazzaferro was recently chosen for the Dr. Liam Frawley Emerging Athletic Administrator award by his peers in Section III.
At the start of break, the Daily Sentinel, Josh's hometown paper, ran an article about his achievement. (https://www.romesentinel.com/news/camden-athletic-director-emerging-administrator-award/article_564ae266-9f68-11ee-a538-6b8e9b3c3f15.html)
So, at the first cabinet meeting of the new year, we saw it fitting to make sure we got his autograph on the front page.

Time Change: Per the ParentSquare sent by AD Josh Mazzaferro, tonight's Boys JV/Varsity basketball games against Clinton will now start at approximately 5:30 and 7:00 PM. These times are 30 minutes later than originally scheduled.

Drivers wanted!

Happy New Year from all of us at the Camden Central School District!

Resolutions? How about Matholutions? Before the break, Math 8 students from Mrs. Calabro's class made their own mathematics-related New Years' Resolutions!
Here's to a new year!

CES students were dancing their way into break!

High School Animal Science recently created 3D animal models to learn all about external anatomy of livestock. They even had one of the students accidentally create "Hae-Hae the chicken" from the Disney movie Moana.

Congratulations to McConnellsville's Mrs. Fairbrother (Ms.Fiorini) who got married last weekend! She was fortunate to share her special day with teammates Mrs.Holmes and Ms. Schaehfer! She celebrated in class with cupcakes and rock candy for her students! Best wishes to the newlyweds! Cheers!

Mrs. Skinner and Mrs. Sessler’s 3rd grade class were busy this week remembering to demonstrate kindness throughout this holiday season. Happy holidays to all our families!

CMS 5th graders were at the DOME in Syracuse cheering on the SU Women's Basketball team at their education day today. Our students even received a visit from Otto while the Orange took care of the St. Francis Red Flash by an 85-43 score.

The CMS Student Council wrapped up their Holiday Food Drive on Friday, December 15th. In total, CMS donated 780 items to the local Rotary. Happy holidays from the Camden Central School District!

Members of the CHS Select Choir have been busy this month! The group has been out caroling at the Holiday Stroll, and Toys for Tots! Last night, they brought their talents to a few households around the village!
It's always great to see our student musicians spreading cheer around the community, and we're certainly excited about the upcoming musical and spring concert seasons that await us!

On the evening of Thursday, 12/21, the Connected Community Schools team will be hosting Open Hub hours at CHS! This is a great opportunity for our families to get anything they may need for the upcoming break. Contact information for the site coordinators is included in the attached image if you have questions.
